Lead-tainted fruit pouches poison 22 toddlers; blood lead levels 8X threshold

At least 22 toddlers in 14 states have suffered acute lead poisoning from recalled apple cinnamon fruit puree pouches with extremely high levels of lead.
The products were sold nationally and through multiple retailers, suggesting there may be more cases in other states.
Symptoms of lead poisoning include headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, change in activity level, and anemia. [ more ]
